"La Capezzagna" sounds like a dialect word of the Italian language, but it is not. It is, actually, an Italian technical term that indicates a headland access road leading to farms.
In 1992 Sandra and Mauro thanks to their longstanding working experiences, passion and training in the field of farm holidays committed themselves in restoring existing buildings and cultivated lands.


"La Capezzagna" is located on a hill named after the Taraborrelli's family. As a matter of fact it belonged to Sandra's grandparents who at the beginning of XX century purchased the manor from Mr. Marcone as well as the tallest tower of the valley which was destroyed during the 1943/4 war with seven mines.

The Taraborrelli's were farmers and rebuilt nine houses with the remaining ruins of the destroyed tower. They gave these houses to the sharecroppers who cultivated their lands. One of these houses has now been restored as a farmhouse: "La Capezzagna".

"La Capezzagna" is a small family farm where high quality grapes are grown to make high quality wines which the family reserves to the guests lodged in small suites. The farm has a surface area of about five hectares of vineyards, olive trees and a garden reserved to the family and their guests. The facility can host up to ten guests in three independent units each with their own entrance.

"La Capezzagna" is a two-story building where on the groundfloor there is the reception room while on the upperfloor Sandra, Mauro and their children live.

All make you think to a great passion for small things: the small garden around the house, the handmade products, such as jams or chilli pepper in olive oil, which are offered to our guests.


You can come here to rest in the countryside but also to enjoy yourself in the near seaside which can be seen a little distant through the vast spaces opened among the hills and is reachable in ten-minute drive (7 kilometers). Or you can reach the mountain in less than half an hour's drive (25 km from the farm). Our guests can participate to the various activities organized or can make excursions to discover the so many fascinating places of our region Abruzzo such as S. Bartolomeo’s hermitage in Roccamorice (36 Km), or Santo Spirito's hermitage in Serramonacesca (37 Km) or San Giovanni waterfalls in Bocca di Valle (27 Km).
